I Will Build a Boat

2 Kings 3:16-18

“He then said, “God’s word: Dig ditches all over this valley. Here’s what will happen—you won’t hear the wind, you won’t see the rain, but this valley is going to fill up with water and your army and your animals will drink their fill. This is easy for God to do; he will also hand over Moab to you.”

Sometimes a song just says it all.  Colton Dixon sings this song and, well, it just says it all.  I encourage you to listen to it and read the lyrics.  I can definitely put myself in this song.  In 2 Kings, during a battle, the army was worn out and without provisions, facing dehydration they could not go on. Verse 16 was from the Lord…”dig ditches in the sand”…and they will fill up with water. Maybe it is time you start to build your boat in the sand of your life where it seems to never rain.  Faith without action is dead faith. We are called to walk by faith and by sight. Go build the boat, believe the Lord will bring the water.
