Voice Activation

Proverbs 18:21

“The tongue has the power of life and death,
    and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

I love voice activation technology. In our apartment, we have Alexa that turns on/off all the lights, plays music, and answers pretty much any question that we have about anything we can think of. Recipes, history facts, how to spell words, what the weather is like, etc. But none of it happens until we speak out what we want. It is voice activated.

I noticed that a lot of things in my life are voice activated as well. For example, at my moving and storage job, I have solved a lot of problems by communicating directly with the people at the different companies to avoid confusion and make things happen. Communication often takes away the guessing game and brings clarity to what we want to see accomplished. Sometimes things don’t happen until I activate them by voice command.

There is so much that can be accomplished by the power of our words. In fact, the power of life and death is in the tongue. The power isn’t always found in working harder but working smarter and using communication to accomplish the vision with others. Your dreams, goals, and visions are all voice activated. On the flip side, your biggest fears and nightmares can be voice activated as well. Which will you choose?

Lord help me tame my tongue. I want to only speak life and positivity over all of the people around me from now on. I would be nothing without people so help me build them up and encourage them rather than tear them down. My life is voice activated so help me use my words for painting out goals, dreams, and visions found in my imagination. In Jesus name, amen.
